The difference between bees and flies

It is reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“All flies will be on Fire, except bees.”

See Sahih al-jami ‘as-saghir 3442.

• Imam Al-Munawi said:

“All flies will be on fire” – in order to torture the inhabitants of Fire with them, and not to torture them (flies). This is how al-Khattabi explained it.
“Except bees” – because there is healing (or a remedy) in them. “
