Take someone else’s as a joke

It is reported that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said:

“Let none of you take even your brother’s stick either as a joke or seriously! And the one who took his brother’s stick, let him return it to him. “at-Tirmizi # 2160

Imam al-Zarkashi said: “What people do when they take what belongs to others as a joke is taboo! It is forbidden even in jest, even though a person wants to return it, and it is equated to perfect in earnest, because it scares his Muslim brother, who believes that he has lost his things. “
