Stranger people of truth

Ibn Qayyim said:

“Adherents of Islam are alien among all other people, true believers are alien among adherents of Islam, possessors of knowledge are alien among believers. Alien among all these categories are the adherents of the Sunnah, who distinguish and separate it from addictions and heresy .
Those who call to follow the Sunnah and patiently endure the grievances inflicted on them by their opponents are even more alien than the previous ones, but they are the real “ people of Allah ”His entourage.
And they are not alien to Him. They are alien only to the majority of people, about whom the Almighty said: “ If you obey the majority of those on earth, they will lead you astray from the path of Allah ” (6:116). It is this majority that is alien to Allah, His Messenger and His religion. It is their strangeness that is truly real loneliness. It makes them feel anxious and discouraged, despite the fact that they are known among people and carry weight among them. “
