Purification and education and the need for this of the ummah
Sheikh Albani, may Allah have mercy on him, said :
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ warned us about what befell us today. And at the same time, in the same hadith, he told us about the way to solve this problem. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “If you use ‘ina” in trade and grab the tails of cows, and are satisfied with the crops, and leave diligence in the path of Allah, Allah will inflict humiliation on you and will not deliver you from it until you return to your religion.”
?See As-Silsila as-sahiha, 11.
Despite the brevity of this hadith, we see in it an accurate description of the disease that has gripped many Muslims today.
In this hadeeth, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, as an example, pointed out two ailments that could spread in his community.
The first is the commission by Muslims of actions prohibited by Sharia, for which they resort to various tricks and tricks, although they realize that this is forbidden. This is indicated in the words of the Prophet ﷺ: “If you use ‘ina’ in trade…”.
The second
, that is, you will be carried away by the desire for worldly goods and the extraction of food, justifying yourself by the fact that Allah ordered us to earn.
Muslims, falling into excess in this matter, devote all their attention to crops, cattle and other types of earnings. As a result, this leads to the fact that they forget about the duties that Allah Almighty has placed on them.
As an example of such forgotten commandments of Allah, the Messenger ﷺ pointed to diligence in the path of Allah, saying: “If you use ‘ina’ in trade and grab the tails of cows, and be satisfied with crops, and leave diligence, Allah will send humiliation on you and will not deliver you from it until you return to your religion.”
As you can see in this hadeeth, there are prophetic predictions. And indeed the promised humiliation befell us, which we, unfortunately, are witnessing. We began to do what is said in the hadith, and this led us to this terrible disease – the disease of humiliation and shame.
To get out of this situation, we must definitely resort to the means pointed out by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ himself, saying that if we turn to him, Allah will save us from humiliation.
Thus, a return to religion is a return to the Qur’an and the Sunnah, since, according to the unanimous opinion of the imams, it is in them that religion consists. And only following them is a guaranteed defense against delusion. The Prophet ﷺ said: “I left you two things after which you will never fall into error – the Book of Allah and my Sunnah, and they will not disperse until they are presented to me at the reservoir . ”
?See “Sahih al-Jami'”, 2937.
We have given these examples only so that the possessors of knowledge understand the importance and necessity of returning to such an understanding of religion that would correspond to these two foundations – the Qur’an and the Sunnah, and so that Muslims do not allow the forbidden, believing that Allah allowed it.
Everyone who has knowledge today should take up the education of a new generation of Muslims – a generation of Muslims living in accordance with the Koran and the authentic Sunnah.
And we are not allowed to leave people on those false ideas about religion that they have inherited from their ancestors. After all, some of them, according to the unanimous opinion of scientists, are false, while in others there is disagreement within the framework of ijtihad, however, ijtihad contradicts the Sunnah.
And only after such a purification and understanding of where the revival of religion should begin and what its path should be, the upbringing of a new generation on the basis of this reliable knowledge should take place.
