Danger of speaking without knowledge!
Imam Ibn al-Jawzi about the words of Allah:
“Say: “My Lord forbade … and say about Allah what you do not know” ”(al-A’raf 7: 33),
said, “This includes all the words and all sorts of statements about religion without solid knowledge.”
See Zadul-Masir 3/193.
Words spoken about Allah without knowledge, the Almighty equated with polytheism.
Ibn al-Qayyim said: “Allah, praise be to Him Almighty, forbade referring to Him when making fatua and judgments, without knowing it, attributing such an act not only to one of the greatest forbidden deeds, but also elevating it to the category of the most serious .
Allah Almighty said:
“Say: “My Lord forbade committing abominations, both obvious and hidden; and everything sinful; and oppression without right; and the association of partners with Allah, in favor of which He did not send down any evidence; and speak about Allah that which you do not know” (al-A’raf 7:33).
In this verse, Allah divides forbidden deeds into four categories and lists them, starting with the less forbidden – abomination.
The second He mentions that which is more strictly prohibited than the first is injustice.
Then with the third He mentions something that is worse than the first two, and this is polytheism.
And the fourth, Allah mentions something that is more strictly forbidden than everything listed earlier – to speak about Allah that which you do not know.
This includes words spoken without knowledge of Allah regarding His names, attributes and deeds, as well as regarding His religion and laws.
