Sheikh muqbil’s instructions to non-arabs
Addressing advice to non-Arab youth, Sheikh Muqbil ibn Hadi al-Wadi’i, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
“Non-Arabs have put a lot of effort into serving this religion.
For example, Imam al-Bukhari, may Allah Almighty have mercy on him, is from the non-Arabs, Abu Dawood is also from the non-Arabs, at-Tirmidhi is from the non-Arabs, an-Nasai is from the non-Arabs, Ibn Majah is from the non-Arabs.
Also, for example, ad-Darimi is from Samarkand, he is also from non-Arabs. Also al-Hakim is from Naysabur, he is also from the non-Arabs. Also the al-Beyhaqs from the non-Arabs.
Non-Arabs made great efforts in serving this religion, serving the hadith of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, serving the Arabic language, serving Islamic fiqh.
Perhaps it is in relation to you that the word of the Almighty will come true due to the fact that many of the representatives of the Arab youth today have turned away.
They turned towards music, towards football, towards games and fun. They turned away from useful knowledge.
Therefore, perhaps, you will become those in respect of whom the word of Allah Almighty was put into practice, and it is you who will become those who will revive the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
Allah Almighty said:
“If you turn away, He will replace you with another people, and they will not be like you.” And he also said: “And if these show disbelief, then we have already entrusted this matter to people who will not show disbelief in it.”
