The Dignity of Helping the Family

It is reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: “The most beloved slaves for Allah Almighty are the most useful for their family . ” Sahih al-Jami ‘as-sagyir “(172),” ar-Raud an-nadir “(481).

Laqit ibn Mashsha said: “Once I stayed with Abu Umama al-Bahili, may Allah be pleased with him, in Khums. And once he said_ “I hate a person who is a guest in his family!” He was asked: “How can a person be a guest in his family?” He replied: “This is a man with a harsh, nasty disposition towards his family members. When he enters the house, his wife, lamb, servant and cat are afraid of him. All of them fear that evil will befall them from him, before he leaves home. Such a person is like a guest in his family. ”  See Ibn Jarir at-Tabari in Tahzib al-Asar / Musnad ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab / (1/417, no. 692).
