Sincere advice from Sheikh Ibn Baz
Shaykh Ibn Baz (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
“Dear Muslims Correct yourself quickly, return to your Lord with repentance and strive to attain knowledge! Do not go headlong into worldly life (dunya) and do not give it preference over the future life (ahyra)!
Allah described His enemies in this way: “Indeed, these love the life of their neighbors and leave behind them a Hard day” (al-Insan, 76:27).
You were not created for this world, you were created for the eternal world and you are commanded to stock up on good deeds for it! As for this worldly life, it was created for the sake of helping to carry out the worship of Allah Almighty.
Let every Muslim beware of being deceived by the majority, indeed, such a deception is the greatest misfortune, due to which entire peoples who lived before us perished!
Therefore, I appeal to you, prudent one! Watch the state of your soul and stick to the truth, even if people left it. And stay away from what Allah has forbidden, even if people do it.
The Almighty said: “If you obey the majority of those on earth, they will lead you astray from Allah’s path” (al-An’am, 6: 116).
The salaf said: “Do not avoid the truth because of the small number of those who follow it, and do not be tempted by a lie because of the multitude of those who perished under it.”
