Prayer on Wednesday, between the prayers of Zuhr and ‘Asr!
Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said :
“The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) appealed to Allah in the al-Fatah mosque three times: * on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
And he received an answer to his prayer on the Wednesday between two prayers, and there was joy in his face.
And no matter what important matter befell me, I turned to Allah at this very time, and cried out to Allah between these prayers on Wednesday, and I knew that I would receive an answer” This hadith is quoted by Imam Ahmad (3/332), The authentic hadith “Sahih at-Targib” (1185).
Hafiz al-Bayhakyi said:
“It is advisable to adhere during prayer to certain periods of time, situations and places in which there is a high probability of receiving an answer. As for certain times, one of them is a prayer between midday (zuhr) and afternoon (‘asr) time on Wednesday. “
