The wisdom of creation in 6 days

Shaykh Ibn Baz (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

“The scientists, may Allah have mercy on them, mentioned that Allah created them (ie heaven and earth) for six days in order to teach His slaves not to be in a hurry, to weigh their deeds and reflect on them … After all, their Lord, who knows everything and has authority over every thing, did not show haste in creating heaven and earth, but created them in six days. “
