Tracking – Out of Hypocrisy

Imam ibn Hibban said:

“Tracking is one of the offshoots of hypocrisy. And thinking the best (about others) is one of the offshoots of faith. An intelligent person thinks well of his brothers and is troubled by his brother’s resentment and sorrow. However, an ignoramus thinks the worst way of his brothers, not caring about his grievances and grief. “
