Life is sadness, and you want to live happily
Ibn al-Jawzi wrote: “If a person does not understand the true essence of the burden placed on him, then this is only due to his ignorance. It will always go against his desires and goals. It is time for any reasonable person to come to terms with this.
▪️ By invoking Allah and asking him for something, a person manifests an act of worship. If he gets what he wants, then let him thank Allah, and if it is not given to him, then he should not insist. This world was not created so that everything conceived by man could come true. Instead of perseverance, let him say to himself: “Perhaps you are unpleasant about what is good for you.” [2: 216]
▪️ An even greater ignorance is the indignation and indignation hidden in the soul. Sometimes objections of this kind even fly off his lips, and he says: “There is no harm in what I want, and my prayers do not find an answer.” This only indicates the ignorance of a person, the weakness of his faith, and the lack of humility and obedience to the wisdom of the Almighty.
▪️ Is there anyone in this world whose desires would always come true, and sadness and frustration would never comprehend him ?!
▪️ Here is Adam, enjoying life in Paradise, but then expelled from there. And here is Nuh, who asked for the salvation of his son, but was refused. Or the beloved of Allah, Ibrahim, thrown into the fire. Or Isma’il, who was about to be sacrificed. I am the cube who lost my beloved son. Yusuf, tested by Allah in prison and temptations. Ayub with her illness. Daud and Suleiman, tempted by their kingdom. Like all other prophets, their life was full of difficulties and trials.
▪️ As for the hard part of our prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), it is well known and does not need details. ▪️ This life was created for trials and one who has a mind will certainly prepare himself for patience, accepting everything that has come true from his plans as mercy, and attributing the unfulfilled to this life, which was arranged for that.
▪️ As the poet said: Life by its nature is sadness, and you want to live cloudlessly, happily! Fight, doomed with her nature every day, trying to get at least a spark of fire from the water!
▪️ This is where the strength or weakness of faith manifests itself. Let every believer who discovers this disease in himself try to cope with it with the help of contentment and humility before the wisdom of Allah – His Ruler! Let him say to himself: “After all, Allah refused even the lord of all people, saying:” This does not concern you. ” [3: 128].
▪️ Let him make his soul consider the refusal of the Almighty in what he wants not to be stinginess, but as a good, which he does not yet know, as well as a test, for the transfer of which a reward is laid. This is how the servants of Allah are revealed, who are satisfied with His will and submitted to it.
▪️ The period of testing is always very short, and what a person wants will overtake him soon. It is like a dark night that is about to end and the dawn of reward will dawn, like the rising sun of a new day.
▪️ When the level of a person’s insight increases to the degree of understanding all events as the immutable will of Allah, his faith will induce him to desire what the Lord desires for him, and to be content with His predestination. Otherwise, a person will have nothing to do with the very concept of slavery and complete belonging to Allah.
▪️ This is the basis that every believer must think about and act in accordance with it, whenever he could not achieve what he wanted. ” ? “Sayd al-Khatyr” / 399
